In the days of The Awakening, when strange and mangled creatures began slipping through weak spots in the Veil, the magic of the land began rejecting the changes these creatures brought with them. The King Stone was created by the very land, in order to find a fae to bring the still disparate clans, tribes, and families together to repel the twisted magics of the other realm. Many fae from powerful families climbed the steps to try their luck at being accepted by the King Stone.
