ancientpeoples:Bone Ring with a Woman’s HeadEgypt, 3rd century BC (Hellenistic)The ring has a flattened hoop. Carved in relief on the nearly circular bezel is a woman’s head in profile to the left. The hair is held at the crown by a single fillet and at the back by a double fillet. A thin garment is indicated at the back of the neck. The heads on this ring and on Walters 71.609 resemble, but are not necessarily those of Arsinoe III, queen of Egypt in the late 3rd century BC.Source: Walters Art Museum -- source link
