HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!!!! As a part of this month I wanna make clear how I feel about things, so feel free to unfollow me if you disagree: Aces, asexuals, and aromantics ARE a part of the LGBT community The first Pride was a riot in response to Police Brutality, ignited by a black trans woman named Marsha P. Johnson The LGBTQIA+ community is NOT inherently sexual. I hope my blog, which I try to keep sfw despite the fact that I am over 18, is proof of that. You’re never too young or too old to discover your sexuality! “Tr*nny, Tr*p, and Sh*male” are all highly offensive words, and while there may be plenty of communities out there with certain words in their names of which I am a member, I’ll say here and now I don’t just stand by and let these words be said. Whether or not you’re “reclaiming” the word doesn’t erase its harmful history- same goes for “F*ggot and D*ke”. However, I do believe the Queer is an identity part of our diverse community! You’re still valid even if you’re in the closet! You can message me if you’d like to chat, but either way just know you matter even if you can’t make it to Pride yet. And of course, while I believe gender identity is an important discovery all its own (one everyone should at least consider at some point in their lives, I think) it’s not the end all be all. My gender identity is male, but that hasn’t stopped me from being feminine, because the world if your oyster, so do what makes you happy! Finally, and this is a little off topic, but Fuck Nazis and White Supremacy. The LGBTQIA+ community is as racially diverse as it is sexually diverse, and place where anyone can in theory belong. But! The paradox of tolerance states that tolerance of intolerance will lead to tolerances’ extinction, and I will not allow that to happen. Oh, and Donald J. Trump and Mike Pence are fucking bastards and enemies of the LGBT community and you may quote me on that. So yeah, TL;DR have an awesome Pride and stay beautiful! But also, stay accepting! This community is so much bigger than just one thing or another!
