In honor of Women’s History Month (which is drawing to a close) we’re looking at some famous Latin American women who impacted the world in big ways. Ángela Acuña Braun (1888 – 1983) from Costa Rica was the first female attorney in Central America. She was a suffragist, early feminist, and for most of her career fought for international human rights laws, especially in protection of women and children.
