I love that you can really get a sense of the physicality of this H on fol. 76r of Ms. Codex 727, how the ink and gold leaf build up to an embossed sheen. It’s so pretty! I never claimed not to be shallow! If you were curious about what Ms. Codex 727 is, then I would inform you that it is a commentary on the first book of the Sentences of Peter Lombard, and I would inform you very distractedly while continuing to stare at the gold leaf.
