rad-bad-and-dangerous-to-know:awaitingthematriarchy:thehowlingwolf:auntiewanda:eatsmenshearts:notallmeninists:h-e-r-s-t-o-r-y:Beautiful inspiring cover!! Taking a moment to honor the many kinds of gender expression and the many ways to be yourself, whatever gender or non-gender you wish to be. As always: any transphobic commenters will be blocked!Nothing revolutionary about conversion therapy 2.0But if you really want to be allowed to be yourself, you better start transition RIGHT THE FUCK NOW!!!“Now I don’t have to pretend to be a boy”Translation: “Now I can openly enjoy the things I like without negative pressure from society or my parents by pretending not to be a boy.” Oh god….when will it end?!?!? You can still be a boy & like pink clothing & want pink hair!Being a girl doesn’t equal liking pink & playing with barbies! but I have yet to see a male claim to “feel” like a female without instantly growing their hair & wearing pink/dresses/makeup/etc. I can’t fathom who green-lit that photograph for publication. It’s such an awkward and sexualised pose to put a child in. Uncomfortable sexualisation aside, it’s very clearly a picture of a little boy. I didn’t even need to read the post to know that.I think it’s disturbing that in order to drive home the point that this male child is a really a girl, the child has been photographed in such an inherently sexualized manner. How disgusting is it that the visual language used to give the impression that this child is really a female is to photograph said child in a sexualized way?Not all boys are masculine and that’s okay! He shouldn’t have to ‘pretend’ to be masculine just because he was born male! It doesn’t make him female though! -- source link
