Just thought this was interesting because I don’t believe I’ve ever seen an instructional manual that really talked about the story of Galaga?According to the 7800 manual, the Galagans are “reclaiming planets they lost during centuries-old interstellar war - and now they want yours!”.So, you are an untrained soldier in a “Intergalactic Command Ship”. This is the first time I have heard the ship you control referred to as something more specific. Disappointingly, the ship isn’t named anything special.I realize that this is probably the work of someone writing the manual and trying to make it a little more interesting, but I thought it was funny. I also have the manuals for Asteroids and Xevious and they have similar short blurbs trying to inject a little bit of story. -- source link
