Perfect for illustrating how relevant Les Mis still is today… usually in heartbreaking ways. Also the cast is AMAZING.Here’s some promotional clips on YouTube to give you a sense of the show Here’s the director talking about her take on the showWarnings: generally speaking this show is extremely brutal and explicit and the modernized setting makes it hit home hard. Be careful if you’re triggered by sexual abuse, child abuse, police brutality, prison, gun violence… basically this has everything that’s in the original but it’s all worse ( @pilferingapples wrote a good detailed warning post so I’m linking that here)There’s at least one particularly graphic scene that we’ll warn about so you can minimize the video until it’s over if you don’t want to see it.What’s “Slack” and how do I Slack?It’s an online messaging tool thing. It’s actually intended for like professional teams for work purposes but we’re using it for the group watch meetings and for uploading the videos.The team is called “Team Shoujo Cosette” because it was originally created for the Shoujo Cosette group watch and I’m too lazy to change it.All you need to do is to contact one of us (see above) and give us your email address so we can add you. Probably the best way to do it is by Tumblr messaging but if you do it through an ask remember to replace the @ sign and the dots in your email address or Tumblr will think you’re spamming us and delete the message. So something like “emailaddress (at) something (dot) com” should work.Please join before Saturday if possible so that you’re ready by the time the group watch starts!
