spastasmagoria:thesylverlining:typingsdrawings:saeadame:mtjester:intel-i386:sizvideos:Discover the Tap Strap, the device that turns anything into a keyboard - Full videoThis is another thing that’s really cool and interesting but no one is ever going to use itThis is actually really excellent for individuals with certain kinds of limited mobility! Keyboards can sometimes be inaccessible, and this could be a great tool for people who need an accommodation to type. There’s probably a learning curve, but it sounds interesting.Plus this also feels like jump-point technology more than anything which could lead into simplified gloves that can read sign language so that people who can’t speak can simply sign and have their mobile device speak for them. This could help people with autism who can type but find verbal communication difficult (or just anyone with verbal communication issues) it could work well since it could have military application too when needing to communicate clearly and silently but also to document in field what types of communications or commands are taking place. A lot of applications if utilized correctly.Oh crap this is so freaking cool? It reminds me of those music gloves Imogen Heap was showing off a while ago (which I also Want) but a lot more practical. But yeah, tons of things to be done here and… there’s gonna be lots of Neat Stuff coming. Question of getting it readily available/accessible but oh wow. Yesss.Great for nerds. Great for disabled nerds. Great for disabled non-nerds… I know getting used to it will take a while but only needing one hand and being able to use anything as a surface is good thing. And they recognize that. -- source link
