At one point, she and I had a disagreement – loud and heated – and later both of my parents came to me and told me she should appreciate me more, etc. STOW THAT BILGE, SAILORS. We fight. We disagree. We are passionate in our disagreement and then it’s over. That’s how healthy relationships work. There are bad things and you work through them and then you get back to (or arrive at new) good things. I’m glad my parents visited and provided that contrast.
