These factors led to this work, made of gratuitous materials and seeming as if dealing with social problems but actually having no other intention than nonsense humor. … I installed the work on an underground walkway near Shinjuku Station inhabited by many homeless people, in hopes that some of them would start living in the ‘house’ which was luxurious only seemingly. However the work was removed by cleaning officials only four days after installation.
