To The Movies (2018)I much prefer this:“So he could turn out like you?” “So that he wouldn’t.“Young Justice was Batman done well. This kid’s version of Teen Titans looks like his parents being murdered was just played for laughsEyup. What happened was that they’d prevented the entire Justice League from becoming superheroes earlier and then gone back to the future and found it as a hellish wasteland. This bit is them making sure Bruce becomes Batman. The joke is that this mostly involves them being nice to the kid Leaguers (ie: playing jump rope with Diana or untangling Arthur from some soda can rings), but Bruce becoming Batman means they do… This.It is kind of funny in context, but I would argue that it’s not okay for a kid’s movieCounterpoint: Detective Comics #500, “To Kill a Legend“They didn’t burst in and rescue the Waynes initially, though. They just directed then down a different street so that they never even saw Joe Chill. Also, that comic and this movie are radically different genres. If you don’t like the movie, that’s fine (there were large portions that I disliked), but all it was doing was trying to get some laughs. Batman laughs like Squidward in this movie. It’s not a serious take on the character. -- source link
