So I just finished Silver on the Tree, which is the last book in Susan Cooper’s The Dark is Rising Sequence. Although the series is somewhat uneven, it doesn’t get the attention it deserves (even if it is recommended by Maggie Stiefvater). It’s moody, atmospheric, and filled with mythology. And this book, the final triumph of light against dark, turned out to be oddly relevant and timely. -- source link
