She seeks strength in control, which is power. It is the will to restrain brutishness without denying it. It is ability to stay on the verge of assertion, the superfluousness to go beyond when it is already there, felt and present. It is the potential to use strength with passion which renders her safe, the knowing you could take it all, if you want to, but you wouldn’t for you love her too much, the knowing your power is deep but your love is deeper, which makes her feel safe in your arms not weak.
