It is well known that Washington’s cultural life before the 50s was almost inexistent. President John F. Kennedy was interested in bringing culture to the nation’s capital, and provided leadership and support for many projects, including this fabulous structure that would later have his name. The Kennedy Center sits majestically next to the Potomac, and hosts over 2,000 every year.
