Rockefeller, Jr. discovering the controversial portrait of the Soviet Union leader Vladimir Lenin in Rivera’s mural, Man at the Crossroads, at Rockefeller Center, New York. Rivera’s inclusion of Lenin’s portrait so incensed Rockefeller that he ordered Rivera to stop work and the murals were destroyed before their completion. -- source link
