Although she doesn’t pass The Aila Test, she is a multidimensional character allowed to be kind, revenge driven, sexual but NOT sexualized, and becomes a sheriff that the other women trust and love. As the show is a western, there are scenes of violence against Indigenous people. She is almost executed, Indigenous people are falsely accused of murdering and raiding the settlers and are punished for it, and there is a massacre sequence towards the end of the series. Kat Loving stays strong and brave throughout the entire series, but these images of racialized violence can be upsetting and potentially triggering to some viewers. -- source link
