Operation Help Lisa Move to Canada Update:I’m a quarter of the way to my goal, and just a few hundred dollars shy of making my deposit on my apartment! This is the place I’m hoping to get into (obviously, my furniture isn’t QUITE that nice!). It’s cheaper than what I’m paying now and it includes all my utilities. The downside is, it’s not available until June or July, so in the meantime I’ll be able to spend a month or two at a friend’s house that they just moved out of (SO lucky–my apartment complex won’t let me go month to month once my rent expires, and I was freaking out a little). The most urgent thing right now is the deposit. I will need that sometime in the next two weeks, and I’m SO CLOSE! Depending on what apartments come available, my deposit will be around $975. Right now I’ve collected around $660 after YouCaring’s fees. I can cover part of it if I have to, but it’s going to make paying my bills in April super tight. And for people who don’t want to just donate, I’m working on getting a revised and expanded version of one of my out of print stories back up for sale, so you can help out that way!
