Rocky, now Erwin, came to visit today. @justnerd-oh-andlesbian is taking MARVELOUS care of him.I know this pic doesn’t look like much, but it’s the only one I took because I was too busy petting him the rest of the time.I only had him for 4 days but I fell hard and I think this little dude will always have a part of my heart with him.When we were trying to catch Fancy to help her, but we weren’t sure Bear could even find her again, I sent up a foxhole prayer to Bastet, or whatever deity reigns over small feline lives that might happen to be listening (but mostly Bastet, thank you, ma’am).“Let us help one of your own, please.”I meant it to be a closed loop, the chance to do good by helping a small cat, and the payment is that we would stand for her, make her healthy again, keep her safe, find her a home.And it worked.But then came little Erwin, little Rocky, and I couldn’t help feeling that helping ANOTHER baby was the true price of helping Fancy. We’re keeping her, after all. We’re actually getting a lot out of the deal. But Erwin needed help, too. And part of that meant letting go.I was so glad to do it. And he definitely wound up where he needed to be.Look how big he is! Twice the size he was, quick on his feet, so strong! And so very very handsome. -- source link
