What’s It like trying to workout while pregnant? Your routine is forever changing. Are my Workouts perfect? No. Are they as long as they were before? Also no. But that is ok! I am moving the way my body can move at this moment. Im at the point in my pregnancy where I am grateful to still be able to move. It’s mentally challenging that I can’t do some of my favourite exercises or move without constantly focusing on my pelvic floor or making sure I’m not coning. But, I remind myself as an athlete, it is making me mentally stronger when it comes to fitness. It is a reminder that at this point in my fitness journey I am meant to temporarly move my body in a way that it allows me to. This journey has been an incredible learning experience and is teaching me how to be even more aware of the things that are happening with my body. I am at the point in my pregnancy where I’m changing the exercises I do weekly to accommodate my growing belly. I’m not going to lie some days it is a struggle because I feel trapped with what I can and cannot do.
