backlogbooks:lizziethereader:Weekly Bookish Question #219 (February 7th - February 13th):When you think back to books you’ve read a couple of years ago, what do you tend to remember most about them? Characters? Plotlines? General impressions? Do you have images of certain scenes in your head?usually general impressions, sometimes a scene if it was That Good (example: a book i read in like, middle school where i remember it was about a sea voyage & there’s a scene where the MC is climbing the ship’s ropes or something during a storm and stops midair to cut her hair with the knife because it’s getting in the way), but tbh my memory isnt great in general so aside from my favorite books, i dont remember many specifics about books from years ago Oooh, that sounds like a very exciting scene! My memory isn’t great either; friends will often say “Remember this?” and I’m like “I wouldn’t if you hadn’t brought it up” (or sometimes I legit don’t remember). It’s the same for most books I don’t actively keep in mind by thinking or talking about them. -- source link
