Spotted this scary looking shark friend out at sea while on an adventure with M at the weekend. 2016 is going to be the year I take the bull by the reigns (horns? I’m bad with colloquial metaphor), and show some every day nuance in living with my impairments and the disabilities those result in. I’ve spent a lot of the past couple of years focusing on sharing the medical side of things because to be honest, it was pretty consuming and a large part of my life. It still is, even now, but as I have more coping mechanisms and aids in place it’s time to get on with living this life and advocating for accessibility, visibility, quality of life and everything in between. It’s also time to take back everything I am and want to be. This is me. I’ll turn 35 at the end of the year and I want to move forward. My conditions may be progressive but all that means is rolling with it, evolving, adapting. If I expect the world to be adaptive I better be too.{please don’t remove my words} -- source link
