fycharliesangels:Bronx-born Julie Rogers (‘80-‘81) is a character that will get a little more exposure here than most other places. She grew up in a rough neighborhood, with bad parenting, and more than a fair share of tragedy. An absent father, an alcoholic mother, and being busted for shoplifting educated Julie on street-smarts. She graduated from a top school for models, and had a successful stint as a cover-girl, but soon grew weary of the seedy LA modeling scene. A bond developed between Julie and her parole officer Harry Stearns, whom she started helping as an informant. While investigating a modeling agency, they crossed paths with Kris and Kelly on a case. Harry was murdered soon after, and Julie was devastated. The Angels asked for her help on the case, and mission accomplished. Cut to “the Governor” granting Julie a “temporary Private Investigator’s license”, permitted she study to become fully licensed. Julie Rogers marked the beginning of a new era of Angels. She did not have prior police training, and she mirrors Kris as a rookie that is growing into the job. She was very funny with Kris, and the pair needed more time together as Angels.  Victoria Leigh Blum/Tanya Roberts was born on October 15, 1955 in New York City. After joining the show as Charlie’s “last Angel”, Tanya was whisked away to Hawaii filming at the new Hawaiian Townsend Agency for several episodes to show off her bikini collection, and then flown back to LA to kick some ass for a few more episodes. Unfortunately, a writer’s strike, tired costars ready to move on, Angelgate, a waning audience, and counter-programming caused Charlie’s Angels to stop production. Tanya went on to become a fanboy’s dream. She has the distinction of being the only actress that is both an Angel of Charlie, and a Girl of Bond. Tanya can be seen in 007’s A View to a Kill, Beastmaster, Sheena, Tourist Trap, California Dreaming, and more recently on That 70s Show as semi-prominent cast member “Midge Pinciotti”. Tanya’s last role was Barbershop (2005). 2020 saw Tanya connecting with fans through live chats on social media, with her last appearance being Dec. 19, 2020. Sadly, the actress fell ill on Christmas Eve and passed away Jan. 4, 2021. Tanya Roberts was such an amazing person in life. Warm, funny, approachable, a champion of animals and a friend to so many.
