aunicorndumbass:Can we just talk for a moment about Regina here? See, this scene is about Hook but I can’t help but think there’s something more to it. I may be wrong but here are my thoughts:So this scene is obviously about Killian and his “Hero” moment. What they do here is giving him credit. He’s, in this moment, the hero. Charming and Snow are grateful. Emma realises that maybe he isn’t that bad. But did you see Regina’s face? There is something quite off about that moment. She could have said someting sassy, she could have rolled her eyes. But here, she almost looks hurt. She looks hurt and feels the need to leave right after that. Now back to the scene in the first episode; she asked Hook if he believed they could have a second chance, because she wants a second chance to be happy. And now what you see in this scene is a mother that is trying to do all she can to find her son - including staying by the Charmings side, including using magic when she promised to Henry she wouldn’t. And yet she doesn’t have that kind of credit. Instead, she realises that the “bad guy” has now what she wanted for so long; friends, love, family, understanding or whatever you want to call it. This is the face of a woman who wants to be accepted, who wants to be for one moment a hero. That’s the face of someone who is hurt because no one cared to tell her that they are glad that she is there with them or thanked her for finding a way to talk to Henry. Or i’m just reading too much of it. -- source link
