thatfellowsthings: Kojima tweeted this a little while ago with “Completed!” obviously it’s a new Yoji Shinkawa painting, but the question is, what for? well, I don’t want to be a crazy conspiracy nut, but just look at his left arm, that looks crazy prosthetic and then there’s the partial union jack, and people have pretty much discovered that the Phantom Pain took place in a British-run Cyprus hospital the Snake in the painting looks kinda confusing too, he has the outfit of Solid Snake at Shadow Moses, and he has no eye patch (the eye that is shadowed is the opposite eye to Big Boss, so unless it’s Solidus I dunno), so could be that the Snake in Phantom Pain isn’t Big Boss after all and the covered eye was a red herring I could be totally wrong with all of this but it’s pretty interesting This has probably been theorized before, but maybe the Phantom Pain is simply a self-contained nightmare sequence from Ground Zeroes? Almost like the ‘Guy Savage’ scene from MGS3? It’d explain the giant space-whale, at least. -- source link
