cerebralzero:I know I talk about and post pictures of modern guns mostly but some of the more primitive firearms are interesting as well. In these pictures I am using a .60 caliber matchlock musket. It uses a piece of burning match cord, which has to be set in place for each shot and when the trigger is pulled, the burning cord gets pushed into the pan. In picture one I am holding the firearm wrong, but the reason I am doing this is because the pan is a little bit on the big side and I did not want to burn my face off, so I sighted down the side of the barrel rather than the top.As brief explanation of why I am dressed in such a strange manor, this was a number of years ago when I used to do American colonial era reenactment. -- source link
