fuckyeahcelticmythology:The Cwn Annwn by ~AutumnEstuaryIn Welsh mythology, the Cŵn Annwn are the white bodied, red eared hounds of the Welsh otherworld, Annwn. In the first branch of the Mabinogi, they are Arawn’s hunting dogs, but they are usually associated with a form of the Wild Hunt presided over by Gwyn ap Nudd. The baying of the hunting Cŵn Annwn is said to be loudest when they are far away, becoming quieter and quieter as they approach.
