inkbleeder:I think one of the things that I’m so in love with with Random Acts and that I love getting to be a part of is that a lot of charity and philanthropy feels a little bit elitist to me. It’s kind of like if you don’t have billions of dollars or you don’t come from, you know, a certain level or success or whatever, there’s an isolation of feeling that you can’t really make a difference. And Random Acts’ whole mission, our whole role, is about connecting people and saying “No, you don’t need anything other than your hands and your will and your heart and we can do good and change the world and make it better.” And it’s so impactful. I feel like that is really, really important these days so that we don’t feel disempowered in our ability to connect to each other and do good in the world. GISH is there fore all of us. I don’t believe any of us can be happy if other people are suffering. That’s the core of Random Acts. [x] -- source link
