peashooter85:Unknown English Fowling Musket,Made sometime in the early to mid 19th century, this English fowling musket belonged to my great aunt when her basement was flooded in 1996. My family salvaged and cleaned it from the flood and today it is in my possession. Has a hickory stock with a really nice grain, as shown in the bottom picture. Has a brass buttplate and trigger guard. All markings are worn to the point that they are illegible with the exception of a crown proof mark on the lock. This musket is no longer in firing condition as the nipple is worn down. I use it as a decorative piece. -- source link
