marc2turnt: killchery: whatsupwitp: midnight-sun-rising: He tried to warn us, we weren’t ready. …but he wanted to be black right? K. I’ve ranted about this before, so I’ll shorten it. This is the original video. He is in a prison. They banned this version from TV. IN THE UNITED STATES, THEY REFUSED TO PLAY THIS VERSION. They PANNED the song, calling it racist and said he wanted to incite a riot. Did you EVER hear this song on the radio, even though it was a single? Ask yourself why. Ask yourself why after he made a ton of very pro-black songs and videos, the allegations of child molestation came out. Ask yourself why most people didn’t really know this song, and it just kinda resurfaced during the BLM protests. Ask yourself why he had to remake the video to be the one you see. ^^^^^^^^^^ How many famous people are we willing to excuse from sexual assault or rape? I’m not saying your other points about his music are invalid, but they don’t excuse his inappropriate behavior with children. Bill Cosby is a rapist. Woody Allen and Stephen Collins are pedophiles, and so was Michael Jackson. These are just a few examples. The sad fact is that these men were able to leverage their fame into shields to protect them…leaving their victims to be doubted and scoffed at and reviled.Don’t add to that. -- source link
