It was fucking TEN DOLLARS where I used to live.Where the fuck are these people getting their prices??? I have NEVER seen peaches at 98c a pound, and 10 pounds of potato’s for $2??? Where is that?????????? Cuz it sure as shit ain’t here. Also the lowest I have ever seen corn (And this is at the height of corn season in an area that produces quite a bit of corn, the prices are higher out of peak corn season) the lowest it goes is $3 for 6 ears of corn so saying it’s $2 for 8 ears is clearly an outright bullshit number. Seriously where the fuck are these prices from because food here is well over twice what they’re saying. And ridiculous prices aside, this doesn’t even factor in the time and energy needed to prepare the food. Many people who consume a lot of fast food do so because it’s more convenient - they are busy most of the day and don’t have time to prepare a fresh meal from scratch so they order fast food or heat up something microwaveable instead. It provides the same amount of calories and is just as filling but with way less time and effort. -- source link
