Vedalken VS. Triton.The first of these two is a Vedalken Wizard from one of my current DnD parties. I already made a Vedalken Druid a few months back and loved the idea of the race, but I always thought their cannon design was somewhat bland. So I gave them more exotic monstrous features such as ridges, fins and gills. I tried to follow that design with this character, too, but because I had changed the design so much I was wondering how I would redesign another amphibian race from DnD, the Triton, while keeping them distinct from my version of the Vedalken. I decided to keep them with generally human-looking facial features, but because they are fully amphibious as opposed to partially, like the vedalken, I gave them an extra set of gills at the ribcage. They also have more defined fish-like scales and not the smooth dolphin-like skin that the vedalken tend to have.  -- source link
