They play this video on loop (edited, of course- Captain America does not laugh at the PSAs) at the head of the line in the cafeteria at most high schools in the state. After about a week, most of the cafeteria TVs have either been damaged by the students or prudently removed by staff.Steve, as an international fugitive, doesn’t experience this first hand for several years, but in New York state- especially in the city and its boroughs- he has become known as HOT LUNCH.It started sarcastically, of course, but teenage linguistics being what they are, and Steve looking the way he does, after a while, calling Captain America “Hot Lunch” morphed into calling an attractive guy “hot lunch.”So, the next time Tony sees him- perhaps at a meeting attempting to repair the Avengers’ schism- there is a 100% chance that Cap gets called Hot Lunch instead of Capsicle or whatever.This ALSO means that the next (first?) time Darcy sees Steve, she calls him a hot lunch, except she doesn’t know he’s the origin of the phrase, she’s just picked up the colloquialism like any good millennial.Steve is very confused, until someone shows him Urban Dictionary and a couple of the HOT LUNCH parody videos.i’m sure tony physically injures himself laughing.eta: darcy beats the shit out of peter, who had taught her the phrase without a) explaining the full context and b) showing her the rappin with cap videos to begin with. dick move, parker, you know she loves that cheesy 90s throwback shit.Omg, but what if Peter Parker calls Steve Hot Lunch in a fit of nervous excitement?Tony really would injure himself laughing.
