Ghostbusters II (1989)This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.Ghostbusters II has the same strobe effects related to laser-based weapons as the first film. In addition, there is a sequence with unpredictable instances of lightning effects toward the beginning of the film. The scene with the most severe strobe lights takes place in a courtroom, immediately following attention being drawn to a jar of bubbling slime. A more modern strobe light was added to the featured car for this film, creating some scenes of emergency vehicle strobe lights at night.There is some brief peril at extreme heights. A sequence toward the end of the film shows the shot repeating on top of itself to create a disorienting double-vision type effect.Flashing Lights: 9/10.
