November is Native American Heritage Month and I wanted to a sorting of meaningful and positive portrayals of Native characters from TV, movies, books and comic books. There is a real lack of representation of diverse Native characters in the arts, so this sorting may seem more sparse than other sortings I’ve done in the past. This is a sad fact that we need to change. Accurate and positive representations are rare, with whitewashing and stereotypes prevailing in the industry. Representation matters. Diversity matters.
