kindaoffkilter:karin-hien:fuckyeahgoodomens:Demons can.Heaven teaches the angels rules and facts. We are angels and we do good things and blessings, the demons are bad and possess and tempt people. But Aziraphale spent thousands of years on Earth in the company of a certain demon. A demon who he had learned was not that different from him. A demon who was still able to perform blessings and do good things. And Aziraphale, an angel, could himself perform demonic tempting work.So he knows that the angels and demons do not differ that much - and also that the demons used to be angels - so when he is presented with the ‘fact’ that angels cannot possess a human, he immediately thinks: oh really? But ‘demons can’, and because demons can and they are not so different, why couldn’t angels, and thus me? But also a moment to pay respects to the quartermaster who just listens to this and then watches a Principality yeet himself back onto the earth with no body and apparently no idea of where he’s actually going. And then! There’s the day of reckoning and he just finds out that this principality not only got a body that he Did Not requisition anyone in Heaven for (and he would know) but also just stepped into Hellfire and cheerfully breathed it out at three Archangels. Just stood there thinking that he probably should have told someone Aziraphale declared himself a demon but honestly he just thought the bloke had gone off his rocker. What I’m saying is, quartermaster had the equal but exact opposite Existential Crisis that Hastur had watching Crowley bathe in holy water whilst remembering the plant mister.I hadn’t thought about Hastur and the Quartermaster like that before, but good call! I bet Hastur has cold sweats thinking about his close call. -- source link
