When I was around 17 years old I drove down to Kingston with a couple pals - we were visiting a friend who’s dad happened to own an arcade. At 9pm my friends’s father locked the doors of the arcade, pulled the blinds, hooked us up with a giant bucket of tokens. We played games all night - any game we wanted, as many times as we wanted. It was a night I will never forget - something I had always dreamed of. Years later I actually drove down to Kingston and picked up 3 #pinball tables (RAVEN, TIME WARP and LASER CUE) from the same family - along with 3 arcade cabinets (TRON, NBA JAM and LETHAL ENFORCERS) that had been sitting in the garage, broken and collecting dust. They didn’t believe me when told them I was planning on opening an arcade again - but I could tell that they wanted to believe. Every Sunday night at TARG all the games are free to play from 9pm till 2am. Delicious perogies and cold drinks are served while DJ @kjmaxxx spins classic jams. The dream lives on. #toughenup #nevergiveup #IbrokemytoemovingtheTRONmachinewhichwasnotfun (at House of TARG) -- source link
