Mary wore the pearl as a pendant to a brooch, as seen in her several portraits.Richard Burton purchased the pearl at the Sotheby’s auction in 1969 for $37,000 and gave it to Elizabeth Taylor as a Valentine’s Day gift during their first marriage.Richard Burton played Henry VIII in “Anne of The Thousand Days”.
