1. Revisited my hometown via Google street view with @alfredmarasigan @isolatong. The mountain in the background is called Tangcong Vaca where my grandparents met during WWlI. Both of them were part of a guerrilla group against Japanese soldiers. Also pictured here is a local political campaign poster (the name of the politician is Mopera—‘pera’ means money) attached to a leaning coconut tree. As internet access still considered a luxury in the rural areas, printed materials are the most effective way to disseminate information or be visible, however these printed monuments only stay as long as nature allows.
