‘The Conjuring’-My contribution to the upcoming 'Freaks and Americana’ show at Corey Helford gallery. The show is an exploration of big top culture, “Thematically, freaks and circus and carnival folk are alternative "outsider” cultures that beg the curiosity of the viewer and ignite the imagination. The circus is something that people “run away to join”, escaping the mundanity of traditional life in search of a heightened reality. It’s this heightened reality of the captured moments that we hope to explore, plus the bold imagery of lives and lifestyles that are unfamiliar to most of us.“ Show starts 24th January 2015 in Culver City, LA.
