disabilityinkidlit:We’re finding ourselves in need of contributors with schizophrenia. There are various novels featuring characters with this condition that we’d love to review on Disability in Kidlit. As our policy requires all reviews and articles regarding specific conditions to be written by contributors that share that condition, we’re putting out a call for reviewers with schizophrenia. As most of the characters in these novels are diagnosed and undergoing treatment, we would prefer contributors to have been diagnosed and–at least at some point–experienced therapy/medication, so that they can speak to the portrayal of those specific experiences. If you’d like to contribute, we’d ask you to write a review between 500 and 2000 words about the portrayal of schizophrenia in a middle grade or young adult novel. We’d agree on this title together, and we’d attempt to arrange a review copy for you. At the moment, we don’t work with strict deadlines, so you should have plenty of time. Whether you’d like to send in one review and then never again, or whether you’re excited about what we do and want to send in multiple reviews or articles: we’d love to have you.If you’re interested or would like more information, please email us at team@disabilityinkidlit.com. Signal boosts are appreciated. -- source link
