lagerthastormborn:I just want to talk about this scene and how it’s one of my all time favorite Lagertha moments. She didn’t need to come help Ragnar or Aslaug, but she did it because those were always her people and despite Ragnar’s betrayal, he is still the father of her son. She didn’t need to give Bjorn permission to stay with Ragar, but she does because she wants him to be happy and she sacrifices for him as he did for her. And here, she didn’t need to tell Aslaug that the debt was paid or that she needs to trust everything will be alright. She didn’t have to comfort Aslaug, but she does, and even embraces and gives her a strong pat to remind her that she needs to be strong too. Lagertha could have stayed away, she could have just nodded at Aslaug and left, but she is teaching her son that there are more important things than anger and not letting go. She is a warrior in both mind and spirit and that’s why I love her so much. -- source link
