meandmybentley: Confined living space can always be solved with a little clever thinking and design. A combined kitchen workspace and dining area from inside an East London brick house, renovated by firm Kirkwood McCarthy, is a brilliant example of how limited space shouldn’t determine functionality or an outcome that is aesthetically inviting. With some smart planning and the merging of fixtures the space comfortably supports multiple roles without feeling restricted. Clever use of white and the consideration of natural light delivers an illusion of a much larger space. Also, note the brick flooring, a unique element that injects warmth while also nodding to the structure’s heritage. Image by David Butler. #meandmybentley -- source link
