Some amateurs can be more passionate about playing their sport than the pros, and talented photographers capture their love of the game.  Not all sports photography focuses on professional athletes or commercial games. Sports photographers started in the field because of their own passion for sports, and they like to see and to photograph such passion in others. All are subjects that have great appeal to photographers interested in capturing earnestness and enjoyment, which can be more pronounced in amateurs than in professionals.Lucy Nicholson shoots competitive team sports but also likes to do extended photo essays.
