Wall coverings of chenille, silk, and mother-of-pearl add depth to the largely monochromatic color scheme. “I said to José when we first met, ‘I see this place all in white,” Nora recalls. “I didn’t think about strong colors, just neutrals—very serene and easy on the eye.” In the living and dining rooms, light bounces off an array of gently reflective surfaces—ceilings finished with waxed Venetian plaster or a pewter-tone wallpaper, floors paved with travertine—to create a radiance that suffuses the entire home. -- source link
