{You might have seen some of these photos before already, but I wanted to share them again on the blog in one post. This Upper East Side Manhattan maisonette, which was renovated by architect Edward I. Mills and decorated with the assistance of John Barman and Erik R. Smith, is a beautiful example of how to do a home, where the art is everything. There are neutral white walls (except in the foyer where the wood plays off the specifically chosen art), gorgeous sculptural lighting (works of art in themselves), & pedestals for monumental busts and figurines. I find some of the architectural detailing a little distracting sometimes (the railing seems too retro for me) though.} *click here for the owners’ Toronto home -- source link
