Unlike the open floor plan the modern model had, the traditional model’s rooms are split up to make them feel more formal. Adding to the formality of the rooms, are the architectural elements of wall panelling, and traditional ceiling coffers and floor patterns. Warm metal accents and the insertion of a modern element per room (whether its an art piece, or a lamp, or a piece of furniture) are used to keep the space from being too stuffy.
