archatlas: Designing for Disaster Exhibition National Building Museum (Washington DC) through August 2, 2015 I attended the opening of this exhibition last Monday, if you are in town this summer go and check it out. Not only is the NBM one of the great spaces in Washington DC but this exhibition is very well presented, full of interesting facts and interactive displays, not preachy or pessimistic gloom and doom. “The National Building Museum’s exhibition, Designing for Disaster, examines how we assess risks from natural hazards and how we can create policies, plans, and designs yielding safer, more disaster-resilient communities.” Check out the Designing for Disaster blog, MitigationNation. -- source link
