The cabbage has reached stage two of regrowing, finally putting out enough roots to be repotted in soil instead of water. Here we have the before and after pictures. This is literally the end of a shop bought cabbage left in water for about a month until it put out enough new roots (which look like tiny white threads) to be transplanted into soil. All those leaves grew while it was in the water dish too.You will lose some of the lower leaves because being immersed in water this long means they will rot, probably where they join the stalk, and you’ll want to take them off the plant if they’ve gone squishy before you repot it. To transplant it into the soil bury it up to the level of the lowest leaves so they’re just sat on the surface. -- source link
