blindmodernist:SO! Yesterday I finished my very first play-through of Suikoden with my bestest friend odessa-silverberg. I’ve heard all about the games over the years - specifically the first two - and now getting them on the PSN (not the Aussie one though :/) I got to experience them in full! Everything I had been told about the game over the years came together as I met all the characters and found my favourites and explored their world. I felt so happy playing this game, it was refreshing to play an RPG that didn’t feel like a chore of constantly grinding and suffering through loooooong dungeons. It just made me feel happy to play. Easy to understand and follow, but with a brutal story that will reach out to you and claw at your feelings at every opportunity. And now today, I make my little contribution to the Suikoden fandom with this reflection on the game and can safely say it has earned a new fan after many years of encouragement from my best friend ❤️ We have started playing Suikoden 2, which is already presenting as the same unforgivingly painful story, Riou and Jowy, the best of friends… Ah! What heartache will come! And what happy reunions with old friends from 1! I’ll buy Suikoden 1 as soon as it’s released on Australian PSN, gladly I will support this game. I am eternally grateful to a special someone who got the games for me on the U.S. PSN though, little mention here I think he deserves ☺️ And I will without a doubt play 1 again! Oh oh and the music were purdy :D Glad to be able to play it through with you :) hope you didn’t get sick of my Flik fangirling lol. -- source link
